How fees work
Insurance we work with
I am out of network with insurance plans, so you pay the practice directly for each session and can ask your plan to reimburse you. I do not bill Medicare or Medicaid. If you would rather see a clinician who does, tell me and I will help you look.

If you pay yourself
You have my fee for a session in writing before you book, and it is the same for everyone who pays this way. A limited number of reduced-fee sessions are held at any time; ask when you write. HSA and FSA cards work for sessions.

Receipts for reimbursement
At the end of each month I can send an itemized receipt, called a superbill, to send to your plan. It lists a diagnosis code, which your plan will see. Your plan decides whether it reimburses you, and by how much.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost before it starts, and I give you a written estimate in advance. If a bill comes in at $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
Checking your benefits
Before your first session I can go through your plan's out-of-network benefits with you and tell you what to ask your plan. I cannot promise what a plan will pay.
